Young farmer dies at Khanauri border, Haryana police denies report

Khanuri, February 21, 224: Shubhkaran Singh, a 21-year-old farmer from Bathinda, died at the Khanauri border on February 21 as part of the ongoing farmers' protests. This information was given by farmers organisation.
He was a resident of village Ballo in Rampura area of Bathinda. Shubkarman's body has been brought to Rajendra Medical College and Hospital, Patiala. He was the only brother of two sisters.
Apart from Shubkarman, 12 other farmers have been injured, out of which the condition of 2 is critical. The young farmer Shubh Karan Singh was the owner of only three acres of land and had gone to the Khanuri Punjab Haryana border in the Kisan movement three to four days ago.
This incident has been confirmed by the Punjab Vice President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Malwa, Gurwinder Singh Balo, and the farmers' leaders have demanded from the Punjab government that the family members of the deceased young farmer should be compensated and his debts waived.
Haryana Police denies report
The Haryana police has however denied the report of death.
"According to the information received so far, no farmer has died today #किसानआंदोलन . This is just a rumour. There is information about two policemen and one protestor being injured at Data Singh-Khanori border who is undergoing treatment," posted Haryana police on X.
