Chandigarh, February 7, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday said that the state government has already fulfilled 60 out of the 217 resolutions made in its Sankalp Patra, while work on the remaining commitments is progressing rapidly and will be completed soon.
Addressing a programme organised in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister said the BJP government is functioning in line with the spirit of the Constitution under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He added that people of Haryana voted for the BJP in the expectation of transparent and corruption-free governance, and public trust in the Prime Minister’s policies continues to grow. This, he said, led to the formation of the double-engine government for the third consecutive term in the state.
Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao, Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, former Union Minister Vinod Sharma, Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department K. Makrand Pandurang, Bollywood actor Yashpal Sharma and the Chief Minister’s Media Secretary Praveen Attrey were among those present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said recruitment in Haryana has been made completely transparent, enabling even youth from economically weaker families to secure government jobs without recommendations.
He said that 24,000 youth were issued appointment letters even before the government took oath, and large-scale recruitments are underway this year as well. All vacant posts, he added, are being filled strictly on merit.
Saini noted that Haryana’s youth are also finding opportunities in other states, while young people from across the country are coming to Haryana for employment — a sign of healthy competition. “There is no discrimination or culture of recommendation in the BJP government; only deserving candidates get opportunities,” he said.
Highlighting welfare initiatives, the Chief Minister said dialysis has been made completely free for kidney patients, subsidised LPG cylinders are being provided to poor families, and eligible women are receiving ₹2,100 per month under the ‘Lado Lakshmi’ scheme. He added that ownership rights have been granted to long-settled rural families under Panchayat-related decisions, while farmers are benefiting from procurement of 24 crops at MSP.
The Chief Minister said India is moving rapidly towards becoming a developed nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, with the country’s global standing improving steadily. He said the Union Budget reflected a clear vision of Viksit Bharat and expressed confidence that the upcoming Haryana Budget would meet public expectations.
Referring to the 1984 events, Saini said the pain still remains and such issues require sensitivity. He said justice to the victims has been ensured under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Emphasising democratic values, he said democracy becomes stronger when the government listens to the opposition and adopts constructive, fact-based suggestions, while baseless allegations weaken democratic institutions.
On international trade, the Chief Minister said India’s strengthened foreign relations under Prime Minister Modi have opened new avenues for trade, investment and employment, contributing to economic growth.
He concluded by stating that the BJP’s politics is rooted in service, transparency and development, while expressing confidence that people will continue to support good governance and progressive policies.
