DGP Suresh Arora inquiring about health of a cop at Faridkot hospital on Wednesday

Faridkot, January 31, 2018: Punjab DGP Suresh Arora on Wednesday visited Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital to inquire about health of the injured cops undergoing treatment here.
The COPS Pavittar Singh and Balwinder Singh sustained bullet injuries during encounter with gangster Vicky Goundar and his aide Prema Lahoria on January 26, 2018 in Rajasthan adjoining Muktsar Sahib district of Punjab.
DGP Arora appreciated the courage shown by both cops in fighting the gangsters during the encounter.
Talking with mediapersons, he termed as baseless and motivated the propaganda that the encounter with gangsters was fake. The police team which conducted the operation had gathered confirmed information about the movements of the slain gangsters and their presence at the spot where the encounter had taken place, he added.
The DGP also termed the deaths of Jaitu DSP Baljinder Singh Sandhu and his gunman Lal Singh as highly unfortunate. Their deaths were being probed. The state police would be imparted special skills to control pressure situations.
IGP Bhatinda Range, MS Chhina, AIG Gurmeet Singh Chauhan and Faridkot SSP Dr Nanak Singh accompanied the DGP.
