Nabha jailbreak accused former cop in police net
Patiala, December 30, 2017: Following inputs by Intelloigence Wing, Punjab Organised Crime Control Unit (OCCU), the CIA Staff-2 and Kotwali Police Station, Patiala on Saturday arrested a former Punjab cop allegedly involved in Nabha Jailbreak case.
The arrested cop, identified as Manjinder Singh of village Plasaur, was dismissed from Punjab Police several years ago, said Patiala SSP Dr S Bhupathi.
He was arrested from Jandiala Guru in Amritsar district.
He worked as a Constable before dismissal and faced charges of arranging police uniform to the accused involved in jailbreak.
The SSP also said that Manjinder Singh was a close relative of Prem Singh alias Prem Lahoria, the mastermind of the sensational jailbreak that took place in November 2016.
