PAU shines at 38th AIU Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival, secures 11 positions

Ludhiana (Punjab), February 13, 2025: Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, has once again demonstrated its cultural excellence by securing 11 positions at the 38th AIU Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival held at Panjab University, Chandigarh, from February 1 to 5, 2025.
The prestigious event, organised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, witnessed participation from 21 universities across Northern India in various competitions spanning Literary, Fine Arts, Dance, Music, and Theatre.

Congratulating the students and the University Dance, Drama & Music Club, Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, praised their dedication and artistic talent. He commended their hard work and encouraged them to strive for excellence in cultural and creative fields.
Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director of Students’ Welfare, PAU, expressed immense satisfaction over the PAU students' discipline and outstanding performances at the festival. He urged them to continue honing their skills and aim for more significant achievements in future competitions.
Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director (Culture), PAU, shared that a 58-member contingent, comprising students, team managers, and accompanists, represented PAU at the festival. The contingent was led by Dr. Harleen Kaur (Assistant Professor, PAU) and Sh. Satvir Singh (Registering Officer, PAU).
A remarkable achievement for the university, the PAU Installation team has qualified to represent both PAU and the North Zone at the 38th National Inter-University Youth Festival, scheduled to be held at Amity University, Noida, from March 3 to 7, 2025.
Highlighting PAU’s impressive performance, Sh. Satvir Singh shared that PAU students participated in 21 out of 28 events, and the Installation team clinched 2nd position, securing their place to represent PAU and the North Zone at the 38th National Inter-University Youth Festival, scheduled at Amity University, Noida, from March 3 to 7, 2025.
Additionally, 4th positions were bagged in One Act Play, Group Song (Indian), and Rangoli. In contrast, 5th positions were secured in Skit, Poster Making, Mehandi, Collage Making, Clay Modeling, Light Vocal Solo, and Mimicry.
