Violence at Red Fort was an insult to the nation, I hang my head in shame: Capt Amarinder
Chandigarh, January 27, 2021: Condemning the violence that broke out in parts of Delhi and left many injured during the Tractor Rally on Wednesday, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh said violence at Red Fort was insult to the nation and guilty should be immediately booked by the police.
He said that yesterdays' incident has weakened farmer’s protest against farm bills.

“Red Fort is a symbol of independent India & Gandhi's non-violence...thousands of Indians gave up lives to see tricolor atop the fort. Centre should also probe involvement, if any, of any political party or nation into attack on historic monument,” he added.
Reiterating his support to Kisan Morcha against farm bill, CM said ,”What happened in Delhi yesterday was wrong but I still stand with farmers as Farm bill are wrong and against federal ethos. Centre must heed farmer’s voice. A government of & by the people cant ignore the will of the people.”
