Farmers start moving back on tractors to join protest at Delhi borders
Ferozepur, January 30, 2021: The farmers in groups have started moving back to their respective sit-in-sites on Tuesday, with about 200 tractors parade against the farm laws in front of the DC office.
It is added that all rounds of talks between the government and farmers over the repealing of 3-Farm Laws have not yielded much; the enthusiasm among the protesters had not flagged. However, the saffron flag – sacred to Sikhs, hoisted by protesters at the iconic Red Fort during the tractor parade was the Nishan Sahib a symbol of Sikh religion seen at all Gurdwara complexes.
Speaking on the occasion, Narinder Pal Singh Jatala, District Vice President, Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee-KMSC said, it is not understood that when the farmers don’t want the laws then why it is being imposed on them.
He said, the farmers still protesting at Delhi borders are being threatened by the police and on getting an emergency call from them, the farmers have started moving back to the protesting sites, to join and support them.
Condemning the attack on the farmers for their peaceful agitation, he said, we are again moving to Delhi and come back only after the rollback of these laws. Rather farmers from other places have also started marching towards Delhi.
He said, Gurmit Singh Dhillon, a farmer said, it is a conspiracy of the Centre government to harass the farmers. False propaganda is being floated that the farmers are coming back rather more are now joining them to continue with their protest against repealing of three farm laws.
On asking about the connection with Deep Sidhu, he said, it too is a plot of the Modi government about the appearance of Deep Sidhu at the Red Fort. Now, he stands exposed, we will not allow him to associate with the farmer's protest.
