Performance of BJP won’t be acceptable in next Lok Sabha to majority in country: Punjab CM
Chandigarh, January 27, 2021: Hitting out the centre for the ongoing farmers protest and the violence that broke out during farmers rally, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder took a dig at BJP led central government and said that performance of BJP led central government wont be acceptable in next Lok Sabha polls.
“'Performance of @BJP4India led govt at Centre won't be acceptable in next Lok Sabha polls to the majority in a country where 70% of the population is #farmers. BJP should realise that stability & secularism, not Hindutva card, is key to inclusive progress,” said Punjab CM.
He further said that even though agriculture is a state subject, the Punjab government was never asked before bringing in the farm laws.
“Agriculture is state subject, yet we weren't asked before bringing in farm laws. AamAadmiParty is lying that we knew about them. Fact is Punjab wasn't even initially included in committee as Centre knew we'll oppose their laws,” he said.
