Ferozepur (Border Villages) March 1, 2019: No doubt there is a terror in the minds of the people with the flashing of news on electronic channels and on social media but it was totally normalcy on the border villages in Ferozepur Sector when Babushahi.com team visited number of villages – Bare Ke, Machiwara, Gatti Rajo Ke, Hazara Singh Wala, Ullo Ke, Tendiwala and others.
In the cities, the citizens are planning to dump the needy grocery, withdrawing cash from the banks but the people in the border villages are busy in their day to day routine works – see below pics clicked – farmers – both male and females working in the fields, playing cards in the field side, moving on bicycle, youths playing cricket near the Gurdawara ground.
Every category of people in the country are talking about taking the revenge from Pakistan for Pulwama terror attack in J&K, the border villagers have not yet forgotten the wars of 1965 and 1971 and post Kargil aggression but pray for peace in the country.
Pritam Singh said, no one is aware of the war in the village, rumours are being spread to create horror among the people.
Master Gurbax Singh said whenever there is tension on the border, the voices from the Masjid are not heard but now throughout the day we are hearing such voices from across the border.
Even another farmer Jangir Singh said, there is a war-like situation rather we will stand with the forces and will not move this time.
Goma, Block President of Bharti Kissan Union, there is the number of problems on shifting in the event of war.
Jamuna Bai who too had witnessed two wars was in high strength of mind.
However, the number of other villager were seen in high spirit. All were of the view that both the countries should resolve the issue once for all and instead of wasting money on war, both the countries should use that money for the development of the country, to give employment to the youths by setting up industrial units.
