Islamabad states Wing Commander Abhinandan as POW
Islamabad , March 01, 2019 : Has Pakistan treated Indian IAF pilot Abhinandan as Prisoner of War ( POW ) ? Imran Government and Pak Army treated him as POW or not is to been but the official release of Imran govt claims that Wing Commander Abhi was a POW.
The press issued by Islambad about the release of Abhi says " Return of POW , Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman "
Although the word POW was not used in the text of the press release but it was claimed, " He was treated with dignity and in line with International law."
The term POW used in the official release raised many questions whether Abhi was treated according to the International laws enforced for POWs.
