31 Schools participate in Vedic Speech Contest; Winners honoured in Ludhiana

Ludhiana (Punjab), August 1, 2025: Ved Prachar Mandal, Ludhiana, organized an inter-school Vedic Speech Competition at BCM School, Basant City, to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh.
The event was held under the guidance of Principal Nidhi Jain and the leadership of State General Secretary Roshan Lal Arya.
The competition, presided over by Prof. Satish Sharma (former Principal, D.A.V. College, Jalandhar), saw participation from 31 schools. Special guests Pawan Jain (Director, Sharman Jain Sweets) and Alka Arora inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the ceremonial lamp, while Principal Rajdeep Kaur Aulakh conducted the draw of lots.
Architect Sanjay Goyal, Technical Expert for Ludhiana Smart City, was the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring address, urging students and attendees alike to imbibe the timeless values embedded in Vedic teachings. “The topics discussed today are essential for a successful and meaningful life,” he stated.
The organizing committee members, including Arun Bhardwaj, Bobby Malhotra, Namita Raj Singh, Prem Lata Gupta, and others, welcomed the dignitaries. Judges for the event were Prof. Nidhi Sharma, Dr. Seema Arora, and Dr. Amita Khosla.
Prof. Satish Sharma commended the Mandal’s efforts in nurturing moral values among the youth, describing it as a much-needed initiative in today’s times.
Winners were felicitated by the chief guest and organizers. Nidhi Jaiswal of International Public School secured the first prize, followed by Pranav Chhuneja and Samkit Jain (second prize), and Arshdeep Kaur and Drishti (third prize). Commendation awards went to Abhinav Sehgal, Divyanshi, and Aradhya Singh.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of Satyarth Prakash to the guests as a token of honour.
