Jalandhar (Punjab), May 26, 2025: In a first-of-its-kind move under the Punjab Sikhiya Kranti mission, the Punjab Government has launched a powerful initiative titled "Ek Din DC/CP De Sang" aimed at motivating government school students—especially girls—by giving them direct exposure to top administrative and police leadership.
As part of this inspiring effort, six top-performing girl students from classes 10 and 12 spent a full day shadowing Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal and Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur, getting a real-world look at governance, public service, and leadership.
From discussing flood prevention strategies to exploring the registration system and understanding community policing, these bright students saw firsthand how IAS and IPS officers serve the public. The program not only celebrated academic excellence but also sparked aspirations for civil services among these future changemakers.
The students described the experience as “life-changing,” with many expressing a renewed commitment to contribute to the nation by pursuing careers in administration and law enforcement.
