May 24, 2019: Action of a person should speak louder than his words, a person who indulges in mudslinging and uses words to run down the others is not appreciated by the people rather a person who speaks less but let his work speak for him earns greater respect and regard among the people, said O P Soni, Minister for Education, while answering to the query of media persons regarding Sidhu couple’s outburst against CM did harmed party prospects in State. Though he escaped from any direct attack on Sidhu, but he endorsed the views of Chief Minister that Sidhu’s unseasonable comments against the party did more harm than good to the party, it should have been avoided.
OP Soni had come here today to inaugurate the Govt. Elementary school Ajnali, which has been converted into smart school by the efforts of village Youth club, whose members collected donations from people and converted the school into smart school.
He told the media persons that State Govt. is committed to raise the education standard of Govt. schools, so that students from private schools should come to Govt. schools. Appreciating the teaching community for excellent results of Govt. schools and merits achieved by Govt. school students, he said that State jumped to second position in the Nation in the field of education due to excellent results.
He said that Govt. had already converted 3000 schools into smart schools and 5000 more schools are being converted into smart schools with the help of NGOs.
He called upon the teaching community to impart quality education and to teach with dedication, so that students of Govt. schools may compete at Nation level.
Though he did not announced any grant to the school mentioning constrain of model code of conduct up to 27th, but he inaugurated it.
