Caring in Covid times: CM speaks to staff nurse pm on video call
Moga, April 14, 2020: Staff nurse Pawandeep Kaur, posted at the emergency ward of Civil Hospital Moga, was surprised to get video call from the Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh, who enquired about well being of the four corona positive patients as well as that of the staff working.
Paying an ode to the frontline COVID warriors, the Chief Minister told Pawandeep to exercise all safety measures to keep the disease at bay. He was satisfied to know that the medics and paramedics are being provided with safety gears, PPE kits and masks.
Staff nurse Pawandeep Kaur said that she had been working in a government job for the past three years. "I always knew that my job was important. But the call directly from Chief Minister Sir was like a blessing for me that made me realize how vital role we people are playing. I was overwhelmed by this gesture and will work harder with my colleagues," she said.
