Fatehgarh Sahib, July 06, 2020: The district administration today opened the historical Usha Mata Mandir headquarter of Jai Maa Mission at Bassi Pathana town for the public after properly sanitizing the complex. The Temple was locked on 27th June after the death of Swami Jyoti Maa Mahadev, head of the Mission, who died due to COVID and 16 of his disciples including 8 Sadhvis were quarantined in the complex and their samples were taken. As now all the quarantined in the temple were tested negative, so the administration opened the temple for the public. Sadhvis told that Antim Ardas and Bhog ceremony of Swami Ji will be held on 12th July in the temple complex.
SDM Bassi Pathana Jaspreet Singh along with police and other officials today visited Usha Mata Mandir and opened the lock and handed over the keys to Sadhvis residing in the temple. He said that random repeat sampling of the quarantined were taken and all were tested negative. He said that the temple was fully sanitized and cleaned all the barricades and police security has been withdrawn. He said that now people can pay obeisance at the temple, but section 144 imposed by the Deputy Commissioner and health guidelines of the government for religious places will be strictly implemented.
Sadhvis said that the Antim Ardas of Swami Ji will be held on 12th July in the temple complex. They appealed to the disciples not to come to the complex due to COVID and to pay their homage from their homes.
