Jalandhar, August 30, 2020: With 132 Covid-19 patients have recuperated on Sunday, the total recoveries have surged to 4197 in Jalandhar.
The 132 discharged patients include 10 from Civil Hospital, 23 from Covid Care Centre, and 32 from various other health institutions besides 67 patients completed their home isolation period.
The patients thanked doctors and medical staff for taking care of them thereby risking their lives.
Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the situation was totally under control in the district and there was no need to get panicky as cases were surfacing due to testing besides urging the people to strictly follow the health and safety protocols to keep the further spread of COVID-19 under check.
He however, said that the district administration was fully geared up to meet any sort of contingency.
He said that in this battle against novel coronavirus, the district administration was making all out efforts to provide best possible treatment to the patients of coronavirus. The Deputy Commissioner said that all of us should work in tandem in these tough times to beat the coronavirus in larger public interests so that the previous lives could be saved.
He said that it was need of the hour to adhere to the guidelines issued by the State Government and Health Department as preventive measures against COVID-19 viz wearing mask, washing hands frequently, maintaining social distancing and immediate inform the health authorities in case of any symptoms of corona virus.
