Vaccine drive expanded in Chandigarh, nearly 3500 got jab on Thursday
Chandigarh, April 1, 2021:
COVID -19 vaccination drive has been expanded from April 1 across the nation to include every citizen who is above 45 years of age. The condition of having specified comorbidities has been done away with.
In a significant step to exponentially expand the vaccination drive, the UT Health Department has strengthened the said drive in all CVCs at Government and Private Hospitals.
Seeing the positive response of Public, UT Health Department has decided to operationalize both Government and Private Sector COVID Vaccination Centres (CVCs) on Friday to optimally utilize all CVCs.
UT Health Department appeals to all the citizens above the age of 45 years to get them vaccinated and to protect themselves and their families from COVID-19. Let’s all contribute to make City beautiful COVID free.
As per the information obtained, 1867 persons above 45 years of age were vaccinated today. Overall, 3499 persons got vaccine jab today. A total of 81,158 persons have been vaccinated so far in Chandigarh.
