Chandigarh reports 1 death and 287 new covid-19 cases
Chandigarh, April 2, 2021:
Chandigarh reported 287 new covid-19 positive cases on Friday. One death due to covid was also reported in the last 24 hours.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 3,098.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 2,102 samples. As per the figure, 381 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to Covid-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 27,543.

COVID Death:-
- A 58-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Khuda Alisher, a case of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease, expired at PGIMER.
Discharged Patients:-
- A total of 139 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
