Jalalabad, December 7, 2016 :The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today declared that the December 8 ‘Paani Bachao- Punjab Bachao’ (Save Water Save Punjab) rally to be held in village Killi Chahlan (Moga) would be a watershed in fighting for the rights of Punjab. He said the Chief Minister, S. Parkash Singh Badal and all SAD-BJP leaders have already resolved that Punjab doesn’t has even a single drop to spare for any other state and it would not be shared at any cost.
Addressing a vast gathering during the sangat darshan in various municipal wards in Jalalabad town, S. Badal said a huge gathering from all across the state would converge at Moga on December 8 to protect the rights of Punjab. Making a mention of the achievements of the SAD-BJP government, he said that the alliance would form government for the third consecutive time riding high on the plank of development. He also mentioned various development as well as welfare oriented schemes of the Punjab government which were instrumental in raising the living standard of the masses.
Mentioning welfare schemes, Deputy Chief Minister said the Shagan Scheme, Free Health Insurance Scheme, Free Power worth 200 Units to SC-BC families, Free Atta-Dal scheme, Free Medicine Centers, Free Gas Connections, Free power to the farmers, Surplus Power status for state and top class road infrastructure are the crowning glories of the SAD-BJP Government.
Interacting with mediapersons on the occasion, S. Badal said the manifesto of the SAD would be released after the state assembly elections are declared and the team of senior leaders constituted for the purpose is working on war footing. Regarding derogatory language used by AAP MP Bhagwant Mann during election campaign, Deputy Chief Minister said the people would teach a lesson to the leaders of AAP and Bhagwant Mann and other AAP candidates would forfeit their deposits.
The Deputy Chief Minister distributed development centric grants worth approximately Rs. 6 crores during this sangat darshan. He also instructed the officials present to redress the grievances of the people at the earliest.
S. Badal also visited the residence of District President SAD (Urban) and Vice-Chairman Punjab Agro Ashok Aneja and condoled the demise of latter’s mother. He said that the SAD stands solidly with the Aneja family in their hour of grief. The Deputy Chief Minister prayed to the almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
