Major relief to farming community as loan interest of 60 days waived off
Sampla calls upon political parties to work together for development of the nation
Chandigarh, January 01, 2017: Union Minister and Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla today welcomed the New Year’s Eve speech of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that the PM had provided relief to each and every section of the society. Lauding the Prime Minister Sampla said, “Now the dream of millions of Indians to own a house would come true as the Prime Minster has announced a rebate of 4 per cent on a loan of Rs. 9 lakhs and 3 per cent rebate on up to Rs. 12 lakhs. Also people living in villages would get a rebate of 2 per cent on a loan of Rs. 2 lakhs for construction of homes”.
Sampla stated that PM Modi had taken care of the farmers, saying “PM Modi has provided a major relief to the farming community by waiving off interest of 60 days on loans from Cooperative, Central Banks. Not only this, he has granted Rs. 20,000 crores to the NABARD fund so that more loans can be given to needy farmers”.
Sampla said, “The Prime Minister has given a big boost to small entrepreneurs by enhancing the loan on government’s credit guarantee by Rs. 1 crore. Similary, working capital loan has been increased to 30 per cent. This will certainly create new job opportunites”. “The Prime Minister has announced Rs. 6,000 for every pregnant woman in the country. This would specially help those women who are unable to take care of themselves during pregnancy and hence would help them bear a healthy child. An interest of 8 per cent has also been announced for the Senior Citizens holding up to Rs. 7.5 lakh in bank accounts for a period of ten years”.
Backing the Prime Minister, the state BJP chief also exhorted the political parties to shun their holier-than-thou attitude and work for the development of the country together. Wishing the public a Happy New Year, Sampla also thanked and praised the people for their cooperation for supporting the government’s move of demonitisation stating that under the leadership of PM Modi, the year 2017 will usher in an era of progress, development and transparency in the country.
