COVID Alert in Punjab: 3 new cases detected, Health dept issues advisory

Ludhiana (Punjab), May 30, 2025 – The Punjab Health Department has issued a Covid-19 advisory after three new cases were confirmed in the state.Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh assured the public that there is no cause for alarm, stating that the situation remains completely under control.
Dr. Singh emphasized that Punjab is fully prepared to handle any surge, with adequate availability of oxygen, medicines, hospital beds, and other critical healthcare resources.
Advisory for Vulnerable Groups
The minister urged high-risk individuals—including the elderly, pregnant women, and those with pre-existing conditions like cancer, kidney disease, high blood pressure, or respiratory illnesses—to wear masks in public places as a preventive measure.
Public Cooperation Key
Highlighting the importance of collective action, Dr. Singh called on citizens to stay vigilant and adhere to basic health precautions. “By acting responsibly, we can safeguard our communities from both Covid-19 and dengue,” he said.
