Jagroop Singh, ex Special Secretary of Punjab Civil Secretariat succumbs to COVID
Chandigarh, May 31, 2021:
Former Special Secretary/Minister of Punjab Civil Secretariat, Jagroop Singh, died of COVID-19 on Monday morning at around 6.45 am.
Jagroop Singh was undergoing his treatment in Fortis Hospital of Mohali.
Jagroop Singh was posted with Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia in the previous ministry and was retired in 2017.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
The Punjab Secretariat Personnel Staff Association members including Rajesh Rani President, Sudesh Kumari, Vice President, Malkit Singh Aujla, General Secretary, Jasbir Kaur, Finance Secretary, Gurcharan Singh, Joint Secretary, Ranjit Singh Office Secretary, Gulzar Singh, Kartar Singh Chhina, Balkar Singh Chahal, Malkit Singh Rangi, Surjit Suman, Harbans Claire, Jarnail Hoshiarpuri, Chiranji Lal, Bhupinder Singh Sandhu and Jagjivan Singh expressed their condolences to the death of Jagroop Singh.
The cremation of Jagroop Singh will take place at 3.15 pm in Sector 25 cremation ground, Chandigarh.
