Keeping threat of third wave in mind, DSGMC gears up to start another World Class hospital with 125 beds in record 60 days
French Government, NRIs across the world extend helping hand to DSGMC
New Delhi, May 31, 2021 : Keeping threat of third Corona wave in mind, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) geared up to start another World Class 125 bed hospital for COVID patients.
After opening of 100 bed free Dialysis Hospital, Diagnostic Centre with cheapest MRI and CT Scan, subsidized Bala Pritam Dispensaries, Guru Tegh Bahadur Corona Care Centre, this is fifth such initiative of the DSGMC in field of health and medical care.
Like Guru Tegh Bahadur Corona Care Centre was established in a record time of 12 days, this Hospital would be readied in coming 60 days.
Apart from NRIs across the world who are at forefront in extending help for establishment of this hospital which has been named as Guru Harkrishan Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Government has France has also come forward for extending help.
Sharing more details about the project, the DSGMC President Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that in this 125 bed hospital 35 beds are ICU beds. He said that as third wave of COVID is expected to hurt children we have made preparation in advance to tackle such eventuality if any and have also made child ICU and a separate ward for children in this hospital. He said that this hospital will also have in-house X-ray and CT scan facilities so as to ensure that patients do not have to run here and there for such medical tests.
He said that French Government has given a Nova Air Oxygen Generator (Plant) for this hospital and similarly Sangat has given second oxygen generator which will ensure that there is no dearth of oxygen for patients.
He said that sangat from New york in USA has given beds and ventilators for this hospital and till date we have received 6 ICU Beds, 5 ICU Ventilators and 20 beds of general wards.
Sirsa said that from next year courses of Medical Nurses will start in this institute and in next three years full fledged Medical College will start functioning in this campus.
The DSGMC General Secretary Harmeet Singh Kalka said that it is most unfortunate that we have lost more than 3 lakh people due to COVID-19 and in them were such people who were ultra rich but died as they failed to get medical facilities. He said that in such a situation creating medical and health care facilities is need of hour so as to ensure that no one dies of non availability of medical care and such Institution are more precious than gold for us.
Kalka aid that during last two years people have remembered only two names one of COVID-19 and another of Sikhs who are serving mankind throughout the world now people are saying that it is possible where as Sikh is present. (Jahan Sardar hai, wahan sambhav hai)
Meanwhile DSGMC members were briefed about the project by Sirsa and Kalka and told them that this hospital will also prove immense help for humanity. Member appreciated vision of Sirsa and Kalka.
