PAU Alumnus Dr SS Sandhu dies of COVID
Ludhiana, May 31, 2021:
The Professor of Entomology (retd) and alumnus of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Dr Surinder Singh Sandhu died due to COVID-19 infection.
Dr PK Chhuenja, Head, Department of Entomology, informed that 78-year old Dr Sandhu belonged to village Manuke and resided in Ludhiana. He did his Ph.D in Entomology in 1964. He made a significant contribution to the field of entomology during his service at PAU. He will always be remembered by his friends as a pretty jolly fellow always in a lighter mood, said Dr Chhuneja.
Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice Chancellor; senior officials, faculty, staff and PAU Alumni Association expressed their heartfelt condolences over the sad demise of Dr Sandhu.
