Fight against Corona cannot be won without people’s cooperation: DC
In Ferozepur, 64 areas declared hotspot, 8 micro containment zones
Ferozepur, September 9: The fight against coronavirus cannot be won without the co-operation of the people, so it is imperative that the people follow the precautions issued by the government. This view was expressed by Gurpal Singh Chahal, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur while interacting with the people of the district through Facebook on Wednesday evening.
The DC said that the district administration was making all-out efforts to control the coronavirus. He said that corona testing capacity has been enhanced in the district by intensifying the fight against coronavirus. So far, samples of 34,959 have been taken, out of which 31817 have been reported negative, while so far 2497 positives have been found.
He said, so far a total of 1748 patients in the district have completely recovered from this virus while 691 patients are undergoing treatment. A total of 84 new positive cases were reported on Wednesday. He said that 64 areas in the district have been declared as hotspot areas due to coronavirus and at present, 8 micro containment zones have been declared in the district. Referring to the infrastructure available for the treatment of coronavirus in the district, he said that a total of 110 beds in a total of 228 beds, while private centers have been arranged in the government hospitals.
He said that if any of them or their friends or relatives or family members show any symptoms of Coronavirus, they should go to the nearest government health center without any delay and get their test done free of cost.
