RDA Faridkot gives 72 hrs notice to solve healthcare workers problems at Guru Gobinder Singh Medical College and Hospital
Faridkot, September 21, 2020: On Monday, a deputation of the Resident Doctors Association – RDA - met Medical Mupdtt, Guru Gobinder Singh Medical College and Hospital - GGSMCH, Faridkot, Dr. Shleikh Mittal regarding the long pending demands of the health care workers. The Association gave 72 hrs notice to the administration to solve the problems of healthcare workers.
Earlier, they had a meeting to discuss in detail the problems being faced by the staff and plan to apprise the administration.
The demands of the Association include includes the security of the healthcare workers and the unavailability of food in the hospital premises 24x7, harassment of healthcare workers happening continuously in the hospital premises again and again.
Despite bringing the problems to the notice of the Hospital administration in writing as well as in personal meetings, but no action was taken by the hospital administration, said Dr. Nikhil Gupta, RDA President.
RDA President Dr. Nikhil Gupta informed the media persons that the security personnel don’t even keep a check on the private vehicles entering in the hospital premises and record of the vehicles entering or exiting the premises leading to more attendants and a huge number of people inside the premises leading to the community spread of COVID 19 amongst the relatives of the admitted patients and other healthcare staff also.
All these problems were discussed with Medical Supdtt Dr. Sheikh Mittal and he has ensured that he will try to solve these problems very soon but RDA has given him a notice of 72 hrs as the healthcare workers are working tirelessly for the betterment of the health of the patients, even after getting infected with covid 19 but they can't work with an empty stomach and a feeling of insecurity in their heart
