Fatehgarh Sahib, July.13, 2020: District Fatehgarh Sahib today reported the highest upsurge of 21 cases 14 men and 7 women including five police personnel from police Station Mulepur and the police station Mulepur was sealed, a gold smith couple from Sirhind town, two from Sanipur village, one from Sekhupura, three from village Kasumbhri, one from Nurpura, one from Aman colony Sirhind, one fncrom Mandi Gobindgarh, one from village Rampur, one from Manela, one from village Railon, two migrants returned from Bihar.
As the report came late last night panic gripped the residents of the district as well as the officials. The public dealing in the District Administrative Complex by the SSP and DC office was stopped.
Deputy Commissioner Amrit Kaur Gill immediately holds a meeting with the district officials and all the four SDMs to discuss how to control the spreading COVID. The sources said that Civil Surgeon was directed to further increase the testing capacity, contact tracing and to create awareness among the people to strictly follow the guidelines. It was decided to erect nakas to identify the people coming to the State from other States especially the migrants and to quarantine them at government isolation centers.
Dr. N.K.Aggarwal Civil Surgeon said that till today 12303 samples have been taken out of these 166 positive cases were detected and after treatment 122 have been cured and now only 42 are active cases in the district.
