Jalandhar, November 4,2019: - Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today paid obeisance at the International Nagar Kirtan which had commenced from Nankana Sahib, for commemorating the 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Thousands of devotees imbued in religious fervor participated in this International Nagar Kirtan to mark the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that it was a historic an occasion as all of us were celebrating the Parkash Purab of the great Guru, who had shown the path of love, compassion and harmony to the entire humanity.
They said that all of us were very fortunate to have got the chance to be part of these celebrations during our lifetime. Both the officers called upon the people to follow the path shown by great Guru Sahib to the entire humanity.
The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that the Punjab government was committed to observing this occasion in an unsurpassed and befitting manner. They also exhorted the devotees to be a part of the mega the event as a humble tribute to the great Guru Sahib.
On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh, DCPs Gurmeet Singh, Naresh Kumar Dogra, ADCP D Sudarvizhi, Assistant Commissioner Warjeet Walia and others were present.
