Punjab Police sets new benchmark for foolproof security arrangements through ICCC, says FM

Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala), November 11, 2019: The Finance Minister Punjab Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal today said that the Punjab Police has set a new benchmark by ensuring foolproof security arrangements in Sultanpur Lodhi through the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC).
The Minister, who visited the ICCC on Monday morning, said that unprecedented arrangements have been made by the Punjab Police to keep a strict vigil over the law and order situation in the holy city. He said that this was a laudable initiative, which has gone a long way in streamlining the affairs during the commemorative functions to mark the 550th parkash purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. Mr. Badal said that the Punjab government has taken several path-breaking initiatives to make this mega event a huge success.
The Minister said that while a viable mechanism has been put in place to facilitate the pilgrims coming at this holy city during the commemorative functions, the Punjab Police has also taken these historic initiatives to maintain law and order in the holy city during these functions besides ensuring safety and security to people. He said that this was a beginning of the new era as the Punjab Police has taken step forward towards modernization and the use of technology to combat crime in an effective manner. Mr. Badal assured fulsome support and cooperation to the Punjab Police for this noble cause.
On the occasion, the Inspector General of Police Mr. Naunihal Singh briefed the Minister about the salient features of the ICCC. He said that through this centre the Punjab Police was keeping a strict vigil over each and everything unfolding in the holy city and its surrounding areas. Mr. Naunihal Singh further said that no stone was being left unturned to maintain law and order in Sultanpur Lodhi.
On the occasion, Assistant Inspector General of Police Mr. Inderbeer Singh and other officers were also present.
