Cleanliness in Holy City Sultanpur Lodhi is Talk of the Town

Sultanpur Lodhi, 6 November 2019: The maintance of cleanliness in the Holy City Sultanpur Lodhi is the entire buzz among the visitors to the City. Every one is appreciating the arrangements done by the state government.
It is talk of the town, if one listens to the views of the visitors. “We are happy to see such good arrangements made by the administration, it is at par with Kumbh Mela” said Harinder Pal Singh a visitor.
The department of the local bodies is receiving huge positive reception for maintaining cleanliness in Holy City Sultanpur Lodhi despite huge rush of pilgrims. The pilgrims are comparing it with the cleanliness seen by the people at the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad.
There are 73 langars and responsibility of cleanliness in all the Langers has been taken up by the Local Government Department.
As per the available information, a comprehensive plan chalked out by four member committee of the Department of Local Government led by Minister Brahm Mohindra, Principal Secretary A.Venu Prasad, IAS, Ajoy Sharma IAS, CEO of PMIDC and Karnesh Sharma IAS, Director, Local Government, Punjab for the city. They have planned each and everything in a meticoulous way and it is being implemented carefully by Barjinder Singh Regional Deputy Director, Local Government Jalandhar.
Barjinder Singh who is looking after the implementation work, himself uses e-cycle to keep check and monitor the arrangements.
As per information, Approx 2500 sanitation employees working in three shifts are checked by this officer day and night. The sanitation staff is working in three shifts to keep the city spick and span.
