Chandigarh, November 8, 2019: Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Harpreet Singh will lead the first jatha on November 9 which will use the Kartarpur Corridor to cross over to Pakistan and visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib.
The jatha includes former prime minister Manmohan Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, former chief minister Sukhbir Badal, Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Harsimrat Kaur Badal, and more than 150 Members of Parliament and other prominent names from the country.
The corridor will facilitate visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims, who will have to just obtain a permit to visit Kartarpur Sahib, which was established in 1522 by Guru Nanak Dev.
