Chandigarh/Sultanpur Lodhi, November 06, 2019: The religious fervor continued in the main Pandal on the second day of mega celebrations to commemorate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji here at Sultanpur Lodhi. The main attraction of today’s event was the religious performance by the school students from various parts of the state which was organized by Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).
Prabhjot Singh, Daljit Singh and Shivraj Singh, all the students of class 8th of Adarsh Senior Secondary School Ennakhera (Mukatsar Sahib) presented Kavishari ‘Guru Nanak Sajhi Kul de ae’ left the devotees enthralling with the message of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Apart from this, Meetjot Kaur, a student of class 7 of Modern Nabha Public Senior Secondary School also highlighted the preachings of Guru Nanak about the importance of women in society.
Many other students including Balpreet Singh of Sunflower Model High School Patiala, Gurleen Kaur of Khalsa High School Ropar, Nwaab Singh of DAV Senior Secondary School Hathi Gate Amritsar, Sarpreet Singh from Khalsa College Senior Secondary School Amritsar and Mehak Bains of Government Kanya Senior Secondary School Nehru Garden Jalandhar also given their presentations under the guidance of PSEB Chairman Mr. Manohar Kant Lohia. Meanwhile, Deputy Director PSEB Raminderjit Singh Wasu informed that all the performers were the winners of state level competitions in various co-curricular activities. He added that the teachers of government schools worked very hard to prepare the students for this world level event.
Meanwhile, various renowned religious performers including Dr. Harvinder Singh Chandigarh Wale in Gurmat Sangeet, Bhai Lakhvir Singh Hazuri Ragi Darbar Sahib, Bibi Parminder Kaur Khalsa and party, Bhai Nishan Singh and party, Arwinder Singh Noor and party and Bhai Sukhbir Singh Hazuri Raagi Darbar Sahib presented various religious folks to spellbound the Sangat.
