New Delhi, July 27, 2020: CM Arvind Kejriwal on Monday met the family of tempo driver Late Kundan Singh, who lost his life due to excessive water-logging at the Minto Bridge area in Delhi last week, and offered them a cheque of Rs. 10 lakh as financial assistance. CM Kejriwal said that he hopes that the financial assistance provided will help Kundan's family. He also assured his family of all possible help in the future.
In a tweet, CM Arvind Kejriwal said, "Kundan Ji, a resident of Uttarakhand, lost his life due to water-logging in the Minto Bridge area. Today, the financial assistance of ₹ 10 lakh was provided to his family. There is no value of his life, but I hope the family will get a little relief through this assistance. If their family needs any help in the future, we will definitely stand beside them."
Late Kundan Singh was a resident of Haldwani in Uttarakhand. On July 19, he lost his life by drowning in the waterlogged area of the Minto Bridge, following the heavy rainfall in Delhi. The Delhi government had announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to Kundan's family on July 21.
