Chandigarh, July 30, 2020: State Bank of India, Ladda Kothi Branch adopted a remote village Batuha situated at a distance of 15 Km from branch for making it completely secured and digitalised.
The complete digitilsation of the village was inaugurated by the Regional Manager of SBI, Patiala Sh. Paramjeet Singh Sodhi. The Chief Manager, Branch Channel, Sh. Abhinay Kumar Pathak, Chief Manager Financial Inclusion Sh. Gurpreet Singh Dhillon were also present.
Speaking on the occasion Sh Sodhi told that the village Batuha has been completely covered by having all the shops enabled with digital products of our bank. He said that the village is also fully covered under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojna which imparts a cover of Rs.2.00 Lac for personal accident insurance to the villagers. He also made a few digital transactions at those small shops of the village.
A door to door campaign for the village which comprise of approx. 2000 population conducted by SBI Ladda Kothi team led by Sh. Anil Garg with the active co-operation of Sarpanch Sh.Kuldeep Singh made it possible to create awareness among about digital products
