Jalandhar, July 29,2020:- Eyeing to ensure jobs to the youths from the underprivileged section in the rural areas, the Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that administration would rope in sarpanch and Panchs to identify eligible candidates under Ghar-Ghar Rozgaar program.
In a review meeting with the industry and DBEE departments on Wednesday, he said that the sarpanchs and Panchs would be asked to ensure registration of the youths on the www.pgarkm.com which will help them to tap their energy.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the information about job fairs, skill education courses, availability of loans for starting own ventures and other opportunities would be regularly shared with them through BDPOs or other channels with representatives of Panchayat so that maximum youths could take the advantage of Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Mission.
Mr Thori said that besides providing jobs to the unemployed youth, the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise (DBEE) would also help the youth in getting loans for self-employment to ensure that they could excel in their lives as entrepreneurs.
He told that the administration is already directed the banks to speedy clearance of the loans to more than 1850 youth registered under Ghar-Ghar Rozgaar scheme to make them independent to ensure that they could live their life with dignity and pride by starting their ventures.
Mr Thori said that the administration is also ramping up the skill education to open new avenues of employment for the youth by upgrading their skills.
He said that skilled manpower would help in coping with the need of industry on one hand and open new vistas of employment for youths.
He said that this would also enable the administration for making long term strategy by redefining its priorities for skill training as per the job requirements in the industrial sector of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the officers/ officials of the district administration and DBEE have been assigned duties for the making online mega Job Fair week in the district from September 24 to 30 a huge success by reaching to the maximum youths and employers.
