CM, MINISTERS AND MLAs OF RULING PARTY GETTING SHARE FROM ILLEGAL MINING : SARBJOT SINGH SABI
Mukerian, July 28, 2020 : A Youth Akali Dal team led by Secretary General Sarbjot Singh Sabi landed at site in Mukerian to stop illegal mining going on unabated in the area.
Talking to media on the spot, Sarbjot Singh Sabi said that illegal mining has ruined farmers of the area. He said that land has been excavated upto 150 feet and constant digging has resulted in water surfacing on the surface. He said that this illegal mining will ruin entire belt of Hazipur block. He said that fear has gripped the area due to unabated illegal mining. He said that Congress leaders are directly involved in this illegal mining because they are afraid that people will not vote for Congress when the elections to the state assembly will take place after an year and a half.
Mr. Sabi said that Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs of the ruling party and other senior official are getting share this illegal mining otherwise it would not have possible to do so without their approval. He said that local MLA and other officers are also equal partner in this illegal work.
He announced that in the coming days Former Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia and other senior leadership will stage a dharna at the site to stop this illegal mining. He said that they will force them to stop work if they failed to show required permissions.
Farmers who reached on the spot disclosed that they have sent legal notices to those involved in illegal mining and if the work continues they will approach High Court and will also stage dharna on the site. They also disclosed that never such illegal mining was carried out in the area. It was only after the Congress government came to power in the state, this area was targeted by Mining mafia taking the ruling party leaders in confidence. They said that this illegal mining has ruined the area and their lands have been turned into wells.
On the occasion YAD leaders Kirpal Singh Gera, Lakhwinder Singh Timmy, Lakhwir Singh Mana, Major Singh Mehatpur, Ravinder Singh Pahra, Manjit Singh Polpur, Baldev Singh Polpur, Ranjit Singh Dallowal and Raj Baljinder Singh Sidhu wer also present.
