Taking strict action against those defying COVID protocols- CP AND SSP

Jalandhar July 30, 2020: Aimed at helping the people to track the availability of beds for level-2 and level-3 category and ventilators, the district administration will now update about the real-time status of beds and ventilators on its website www.Jalandhar.nic.in .
Besides, people can also call on 0181-2224417 helpline and seek information about the availability of beds in the Jalandhar government and private hospitals.
The information will be posted on www.Jalandhar.nic.in by every evening presently and will be updated twice on the website, in the coming days.
Participating in a Video Conferencing chaired by Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh to review Covid-19 Preparedness by districts, the Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori along with SSP Mr Navjot Singh Mahal, said that the major focus laid to ensure the level- 2 and Level-3 Covid patients get timely and instant treatment in nearby health institutions in Jalandhar.
The Deputy Commissioner said that www.Jalandhar.nic.in and 0181-2224417 will provide the real-time status of ICU beds and ventilators to the people.
He said that this would help to start the treatment at the earliest to the patients’ level- 2 and level-3 category.Thori told that Level 2 beds are equipped with oxygen supply and Level 3 beds are actually of ICU Facility beds.
The Deputy Commissioner added that Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Vishesh Sarangal has been appointed in-charge of territory hospitals and PUDA Estate Officer Navneet Kaur Bal has been deputed as COVID Patient Tracking Officers for ensuring coordination and expeditious response by consistently tracking the patients from the time that they tested positive till the completion of their treatment.
He told CM that all the officials are working shoulder to shoulder tirelessly in these difficult times to beat the coronavirus in larger public interests and to save precious lives. He also said that the awareness activities to sensitize the masses about the precautions from Covid-19 under Mission Fateh are already being carried out extensively.
The Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar who joined VC from his office and Senior Superintendent Navjot Singh Bhullar said that drive is already being intensified against the violators who don’t wear the mask and maintain social distancing in the Jalandhar to ensure the strict compliance of medical protocols to halt the spread of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the CM Capt Amarinder Singh commended the efforts of the district administration in this war against the novel coronavirus.
