The ambulance would be instrumental in saving precious lives-Deputy Commissioner

Jalandhar, July 29, 2020: Furthering augmenting the medical infrastructure to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic efficaciously, the district administration has installed life-saving medical equipment in an ambulance of Shaheed Babu Labh Singh Civil Hospital.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori, the administration has installed Portable Ventilator, Defibrillator, Monitor, pump infusion and suction machine which would help to save precious lives.
Disclosing the details, the Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the administration is committed to ensuring the best possible care and treatment to the Covid-19 patients. He said that major focus was laid to take care of old and vulnerable population with co-morbidities that was at high risk of developing severe illness.
He said that this ambulance has already the facility of air -Conditioning, stretchers and first aid kits but now it has been provided Portable Ventilator, Defibrillator, Monitor, pump infusion and suction machine.
He told that state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was committed for ensuring safety and security of the people besides halting the spread of novel Coronavirus. The Deputy Commissioner maintained that testing, tracing and treatment is the foundation of our fight against the pandemic.
He emphasized that people must immediately consult the doctor in case of any a symptom of COVID as a preventive measure to prevent further spread of Coronavirus.
The Deputy Commissioner said that all of us should work in tandem in this time of distress to beat the coronavirus in larger public interests so that the precious lives could be saved.
He underlined that there was no need to get much worried and urged the people to strictly adhere to the health and safety protocols wearing the mask, washing hands frequently and maintaining two-yard distancing.
