Every Sikh wants Khalistan, if the government offers the same we will happily accept it : Giani Harpreet Singh
Amritsar, June 6, 2020 : On the 36 anniversary of Operation Blue Star, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said that if the government offers the same we will happily accept it. He also said every Sikh wants Khalistan.
Interacting with media persons after ardas samagam to pay homage to those martyred during the Operation Blue Star at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh said that if the Government of India offers us Khalistan what else do we need ? We will accept it as every Sikh wants Khalistan. Sitting along with Jathedar, the SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal also endorsed this demand said that if Government offers Khalistan, we will accept it.
Jathedar also said that he had no objection if Sikhs raise slogans of Khalistan outside Akal Takht Sahib but raising such slogans in the official function of Operation Blue Star is unacceptable.
