Animal Husbandry Director Dr. HS Kahlon gets warm farewell on retirement

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Punjab State Veterinary Officers Association gave a warm farewell to Dr. HS Kahlon, Animal Husbandry Director, on his retirement. Mrs. Ravneet Kaur IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Dairy Development was the Chief Guest and Malwinder Singh Jaggi IAS, Secretary, Animal Husbandry was the Special Guest at the retirement function.
Mrs. Ravneet Kaur, Special Chief Secretary, said that Dr. Kahlon has fulfilled his responsibilities as Director very efficiently. The department will continue to get his services whenever required. Dr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi Secretary, Animal Husbandry said that Dr. Kahlon had in the past successfully conducted the Gaushala-related event in less than 24 hours which was a very commendable job on his part.\

At the commencement of the function, Dr. Subhash Chander, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry welcomed the guests and all the staff of the Animal Husbandry Department and informed them about the achievements made by Dr. Kahlon for the department. Dr. Mahinderpal, Joint Director, Animal Husbandry and Dr. Parampal Singh, Coordinator of the Department also shared information about the achievements made by Dr. HS Kahlon for the department. Dr. Gurdev Singh, Senior Vice President, Punjab State Veterinary Officers Association also spoke in detail about Dr. Kahlon's contribution to the Bird Flu, Corona Outbreak, Covid Testing Lab, and his contribution towards the Punjab State Livestock Championship. Avtar Singh Bhangu, Superintendent of the Department also highlighted the achievements made by Dr. Kahlon as the Director. Dr Ranbir Sharma, Deputy Director Poultry performed the service of Stage Secretary on this occasion.
On this occasion, all the staff of the Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Subhash Chander, Dr. M.P Singh, Dr. Sahil, and Amarjit Singh Establishment Officer honored Dr. Kahlon with Momento. On behalf of Punjab State Veterinary Officers Association organization President Dr. Gurdit Singh, Senior Vice President Dr. Gurdev Singh, General Secretary Dr. Sarabdeep Singh, and advisor Dr. Ravi Kant also honoured Dr. Kahlon with Momento.
Special Chief Secretary of the Department Mrs. Ravneet Kaur and Secretary of the Department Mr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi were also honored by the Animal Husbandry Department. At the end of the function, Dr. HS Kahlon thanked the Special Chief Secretary, Secretary Animal Husbandry and all the officers and staff of the Animal Husbandry Department.
